Aptly named, this traditional layered cake from Sarawak is poured with TLC, little by little, to form cool-green layers which give the cake a look of pleasant freshness, alternated with chocolate-brown layers that provide contrasts.
The attention given in its making for 8 straight hours results in a steamed cake that is truly evergreen; this cake lasts longer, up to one month, compared to other regular cakes.
Evergreen is simply yummylicious during festive seasons or at any other time.

Pembuatan penuh ketekunan selama 8 jam menghasilkan suatu kek kukus yang memangnya evergreen kerana ia mampu tahan segar lama sehingga sebulan berbanding kek buatan biasa.
